We are extending our offer of free admission through the continuing resolution for any federal employees who were affected by the partial government shutdown and their families!

“We know many families are still waiting to receive back pay during this time and we don’t want this financial strain to limit their opportunity to discover and learn together,” said Portland Children’s Museum Executive Director Ruth Shelly. “Making the Museum accessible and welcoming to all families is an ongoing commitment of ours, reflected in this offer as well as our Family Access Program, which provides options to families for whom admission or membership is a financial burden.”

The free admission offer is good for up to four people per federal employee until the end of February or the final resolution of the government shutdown, whichever comes first. Any federal employee who was not paid because of the government shutdown (both furloughed, and those required to work without a paycheck) are eligible for this discount. To take advantage of this offer, guests must provide any form of federal employee ID. Children under one year of age always receive free admission.
