Portland Children’s Museum is proud to announce the first annual Building Bridges Family Music Festival, a community-building, tune-filled weekend designed to build bridges in peace and friendship through music and play. Families from the Portland metropolitan area will converge at the Museum for a weekend of live music, dancing, and interactive, hands-on experiences.

World-class entertainment from award-winning nationally touring musicians and DJ’s—as well as favorite artists from Portland’s vibrant children’s music community—will light up indoor and outdoor stages through the Museum. With dozens of performances and activities, partnerships with community organizations, and thousands of expected attendees of all ages, the festival is designed to celebrate music and childhood in a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive environment. 

Priced to be affordable, any proceeds will support the Museum’s mission to develop innovative problem-solvers through playful learning experiences that strengthen relationships between children and their world.


Non-members: $14/person 

Members: ONLY $4/person. That's a $10 savings on every ticket!

Children under age 1: free

Portland Children's Museum announces a groovy Family Jam Band Kit Social Media Giveaway! To enter, simply post your answer the following on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter:

"If your family formed a jam band, what would it be called?”
Share your FAMILY JAM BAND NAME via social media. One music-making winner will take home a jam-packed kit, including a gorgeous acoustic Loog Mini Guitar donated by Loog Guitars, plus a wooden egg maraca, tambourine, and wooden bell rattle. All instruments are child-sized for rockin' ease. Help your junior jammer assemble a dream band!
Follow the instructions below. We’ll vote for the grooviest one on the block! 
    1. Post your Family Jam Band name on either Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
    2. Tag Portland Children’s Museum in your post! (Facebook/Twitter: @PortlandCM, Instagram: @portlandchildrensmuseum.)
    3. Include the hashtag #BuildingBridgesPDX.
