Spend Thursday morning observing Opal School PK – 5th grade classrooms in session. Friday morning will be spent in the Wonder of Learning exhibit.

During both afternoons, participants will join together at Portland Children’s Museum for guided reflection and opportunities to seek connections with each other, our shared experiences, and with big ideas. What is the relationship between literacy, creativity and sustainability? What environments promote sustained curiosity and the wonder of learning? What structures support relationships, collaboration and caring? What does it mean to be literate? What do the needs of the 21st century world mean for literacy instruction now?
