Giving to Portland Children's Museum

Gifts to the Museum, large and small, help us meet and exceed our goals, to bring imagination to life for every child in Portland and beyond.

Gifts to the Annual Fund at the Museum support everything from supplying clay for the studios to puppet shows and entertainers to providing memberships to families with barriers to access.

Last year more than 8,500 members and donors contributed over $1,000,000 to the Museum! We need your help to reach this year's goal of $1,100,000.

A gift of $5,000 to the Museum could provide:

Art workshops at the Museum and at their school for an entire elementary school or,
Annual maintenance and upkeep for one of the Museum's permanent exhibits.

A gift of $2,500 to the Museum could provide:

Twelve children to receive scholarships for a week of summer camp at the Museum or,
Four children to receive scholarships for an entire summer of camps at the Museum.

A gift of $1,000 to the Museum could provide:

A year of music classes for Opal School,
Finances a library membership at Multnomah, Washington or Clackamas county libraries

A gift of $500 to the Museum could provide:

Transportation to and from the Museum for two classrooms of children or,
Two performances by a local theater group in the Dorothea Lensch Play It Again Theater.

A gift of $250 could provide:

A customize art workshop for one classroom of elementary school students or,
Books for Opal School classrooms.

A gift of $100 could provide:

A free membership for a family with barriers to access or,
Supplies for The Garage

A gift of $50 could provide:

New books for the Museum's Story Time activity,
New props and costumes for the Dorothea Lensch Play It Again Theater

Monthly Giving
Want to spread out your donation throughout the year? You can set up monthly or quarterly giving to the Museum and continue your support all year long! Please fill out the online form or call Molly Cochran at (503) 471-9905 to start giving now.

Corporate Matching Gifts
Does your employer match your gift? Some companies matching up to 5:1 for donations to educational institutions. Multiply the power of your gift by filling out a matching gift form (supplied by your employer) and sending it to the Museum with your gift.

United Way
Portland Children's Museum participated in the United Way's giving program. If your employer participates in United Way, you can have your gifts automatically directed to the Museum. Please contact your employer for more information.

Stock Gifts of stock can be transferred to Portland Children's Museum through your broker. If you would like to participate in this program, please call Development Director Betzy Fry at (503) 471-9916 for more information.
